Under the name VenoTrain curaflow,
Bauerfeind offers custom-made flat knit
products in the form of arm sleeves, stock-
ings, and thoracic compression garments for
areas affected by lymphedema and liped
ema. They are used during the maintenance
phase as part of a combined decongestive
therapy (CDT) approach. The constant and
intense compression provides physicians
and other specialist medical personnel with
the kind of therapeutic safety they need.
Users benefit from the patient-friendly
design, the very comfortable feel, and the
sheer variety you come to expect from the
VenoTrain product range. The fine mesh of
the double-stretch knit provides constant
therapeutic pressure and is adapted to the
shape of the individual body as part of a
custom-made solution.
Their particularly high microfiber content
makes the latex-free stockings pleasant to
wear, as well as being soft, breathable, and
very friendly to skin. Specially developed
comfort zones reflect the anatomy of the
VenoTrain curaflow
human body and favor freedom of move-
ment. For the knee, the most commonly
treated part of the body, the entire product
range boasts, for example, an extra soft
area behind the knee. This means the knee
can be bent without discomfort – with no
digging in or wrinkling. On an optional
basis, the range of custom-made solu-
tions includes sloping edging at the sides
of knee-high and thigh-high stockings to
prevent leg tissue from bulging over the
top. Where there is edema at the back of the
foot, targeted decongestion can be achieved
around the midfoot area by increasing the
compression provided by the knitted fabric.
Instep widening can relieve pressure on the
dorsiflexor tendon and prevent constriction.
Extra-flat, sensitive stitching for all designs
helps prevent pressure points.
